a few oysters
    #2386318 -

here's some p. pulmonarius growing from a bread bag ala Bi0Tek , got lots of pins for how little substrate I used, there's another clump coming out of the back.  Hopefully a few can grow to a decent size.  Seems to be a pretty good strain, just figured I'd post a pic

oi raga, thanks

I got the strain in a trade with a poster called Floyd_, not sure where he got it.  I couldn't get your pulmonarius to take :frown:, but have some jars of your p. ostreatus that should be done in a few days.  It's even faster than this pulmonarius strain, will be interesting to see how it fruits.  Substrate is alder woodchips/sawdust spawned with a pint of colonized finch seed.  Mixed the spawn and chips on the 8th, so it was about a month total from first inoculation to fruits, not bad  .  Here's a few more shots of them:

It's a pity that the pulmonaris did not work out. On what substrate are you going to grow the p. ostreatus ? I have grown them on spend coffee ground and it did take them a lot of time to get adapted to the substrate but about a week ago they started to fruit. Here are some pics. I like their color and firm flesh.

P.S.: Your incubation rubbermaid bins look almost like mine.

I think I'll just use the same substrate, probably try to make it a bit larger though.  The rubbermaid is home to a couple cubie casings (shhhh  ), I just leave the oysters out in the air so they get air exchange without me fanning .  Here's some pics from today, I think I'll probly pull em tomorrow...

Yeah, I dig the bread bags man, good thinkin

Any bag will work, but everyone has bread bags around.

Here's the last update, probly let them go a little too long, but I need to get a clone on agar still anyway:
