Some questions - Allergic reaction, and anxiety

Hey guys It's been while. Last time I did shrooms was most likely 2-3 months ago. Between last december up to Febraury I think I went though 2 ounces of shrooms, then like half an ounce in the couple months after that.
I stopped doing them for a number of reasons, my last couple trips gave me panic attacks and sent me to the hospital (2 was because I was concerned about dieing, and the last time I only went because I wanted some ativan to kill the trip).
For the past couple years I've had an anxiety problem but I think thats only related to my asthma inhalers and 10 years of marijuna smoking.
Last time I did them I felt a tickle in my throat/trachea and I'm pretty sure it was in my lung tube as I had to cough up a fair amount of plhegm and I literally thought I was dying.
That gets to the reason why I haven't done shrooms in a month. I'm concerned that might have been an anaphylactic reaction to the mushrooms. Is this a thing? Would taking a benedryl 30 minutes prior mitigate this?
If I do have an anxiety problem I know I shouldn't do shrooms but I really want to as I have had some good enlightening and generally fun trips. Is there anything I can do to mitigate the anxiety and paranoia that comes from the comeup/trip?
Edit: Also ive been having muscle twitches the past couple of weeks. My research says its benign and is most likely from the inhalers/anxiety but im just wondering if the way shrooms affect the CNS if it can agigrate it or cause some kind of compliction.
Edit2: My dealer sells 2mg xanax. Would taking that 30 mins prior with a 3 gram trip give me a nice trippy philosophical trip?

It certainly can be for some, ask your Internist / Gp about it. If your allergic to something DO NOT TAKE IT. Its simple, and its non negotiable . Get your priorities straight man.
If your not and your just concerned about the anxiety thing then plan your trips Meticulously. Go above and beyond your normal planning and get it real good set up! Almost like a ceremony. Also use lower doses and have a sedative in a safe box if only to reassure you that you have something to help you cope - if your that kind of person then psychologically this is enough for most without even taking it. Set and Setting and Others. Dont half ass it, your playing with your brain and your mind.
Making Tea will shorten the come up significantly but it will also condense and intensify it. Its a trade off. Maybe that would work for you, plus it helps with the nausea IMHO. Before ingesting have the whole day put away for You time, let a loved one know what your doing in case you need assistance or someone to talk to or just so they can check on you once or twice during the trip.
"Setting" yourself before the trip by undergoing a solid shower and comfy clothing followed by a short fast and a 1 hour silent sitting meditation followed by some special sutras (or prayers / intention setting) has never ever steered me wrong.
Writing a note to yourself disclosing what you took, how you took it, when you took it, and being familiar with its effects and half life will significantly help as well.

My GP doesn't want me to do mushrooms anyway so not sure what he would say.
The fact that I've done it a ton before though should mean I'm not allergic to it, but I know people can develop any allergy to anything.

I think with anaphylatic allergies you are born with them. I believe fungus allergy is a real thing. More likely another another reason for the phlegm. And then when tripping the mind seems to magnify it. Like that one time i was on a good one innertubing down the river. It was hot and we didn't bring water to drink. I got stuck on a thought loop that we were going to get sick or die from dehydration. My friend would do his best to convince me otherwise. I would be ok then go right back into it. No matter what i told myself the thoughts kept coming back. Made for a difficult trip, ate 4 grams. Way to much for public. Way to many drunk people around and just broke up with ex these attributed to the anxiety. Kind of funny looking back realizing i was surronded by water.
I may be way off and you may be allergic to mushrooms. Have a allergy test done if really worried. I dont think there is such thing as allergy to the actives though.

There can be both an allergy to the mushroom tissue or something that comprises it, ex: some people are intolerant partially to chitin because it is basically indigestible to humans, although that is not a true allergy some people can actually be allergic to it or something else in the mushroom, the alkaloids themselves one could be allergic to them - its possible.
But I figure (based on very limited knowledge) that it is rare, and a lot of people ingesting an illegal substance wont for fear of penalty seek attention for it medically or otherwise, and if they do it requires standardized testing which can be expensive.
Another possibility is you become hyper aware of physical sensations and strange perceptions while tripping which magnifies things Already going on, but you would need very disciplined discernment to see the truth of it.
I would not ingest something that causes so much stress if it were me.
