That's how I learned to read too, or at least that is what I'm told.

My name is Guybrush Threepwood and I want to be a pirate.

Before my friend got 70 stars to go fight bowser, he ran up the endless stairs for 3 solid days. He scotch taped his joystick up to see if he'd unlock anything. Nadda.

Man time flies.

I remember playing the shit out of this game for 8 or 10 hours straight when I was a kid...

Were getting old people!

Mario forever in my

I played many Mario games, including Mario kart or whatever. I was pretty wise back then.

I'm sick of all you hypocrites
Holding me at bay
And I don't need your sympathy
To get me through the day
Seasons change and so can I
Hold on boy, no time to cry
Untie these strings, I'm climbing down
I won't let them push me away

I was forced to read from the dictionary from a very young age, 3 or 4.
Also had a lot of national geographic around, some text books and such.

Could read fluently long before video games came into my life (maybe 6 years old)

Violence can inspire focus and rapid progress

Its a shame that didn't extend past reading and a few other things, for the most part my childhood was just a miserable waste of time.

Classic. Loved every minute of it

My fondest video game console of all time.

But what sucked me into video games was this game:

That game is legendary. The sega master system was my first system.

That game was the official opposition to the Zelda series IMO. And I feel until link to the past (many years later and on a much more powerful console), it was much better.

I always dreamed of wonderboy making it to 3d in the same capacity and scope as zelda did...but sadly this never happened

What an epic game though. So many secrets. So much freedom. Great graphics for its day.

The next video game I got lost in was super mario bros 3. Epic of course.

sonic series for the genesis was my next obsession.

Then aladdin for the genesis.

And then I got an n64 with mario 64 and zelda.

The n64 will forever be the greatest of all time IMO
