I'm watching the new Bear Grylls show on NBC * 1

Julianne Hough is with him. This chick.



They're supposed to be trying to survive on their own in Africa. But...amazingly when they wake up from their sleep in the middle of the African wild, she has makeup on.

It's okay. It's basically Man vs Wild except with celebs joining him.

I like the survival stuff but it's hard for me to get into it if I know it's very likely scripted. Survivorman (Les Stroud) was freaking great. I loved how he went by himself and filmed everything on his own...no camera crew.

Survivorman was the best. I liked Going Tribal too, that was a bad ass show for sure. One time, the guy even took Ayahuasca! that was my favorite episode :datass:

I definitely miss man vs wild over the celeb version.

Honestly, I wasn't even watching it per se...I more or less had it on in the background while I was on the computer.

Not gonna front tho, Julianne Hough is purdy and I put my attention on the TV a few times like

meh. besides the shit that just means "hey, i don't want to do this anymore,  can sell shit", which is frankly pretty mundane; he did actually do all that shit on his show, and his show was pretty boss, and not fake at all.

The show saw Grylls supposedly abandoned in the wild, but a programme consultant claimed the star stayed in a motel and scenes were set up for him.

"If people felt misled on how the first series was represented, I'm really sorry for that," Grylls told the BBC.

The show's producers have promised the next series of the programme "will be 100% transparent".
'Truth'

"I'm the person that takes the rap for these things, even though I'm not always involved in the editing side of it," Grylls said, "but ultimately it is me on screen

"The truth is much less exciting - we film these things over six days and, after filming the night stuff, we're back with a crew in a base camp lodge - whether it's a tented camp in the Saraha or in Sumatra poncho'd up in the jungle.

"The hotel [can be] four walls but not a roof, or a roof with no walls.

"Yes, we had a lot of those but when we're filming the live night stuff, we're out," he added.

Les Stroud is legit. He told the Discovery Channel that they had to be hands off and let him do it right or not at all. They ended up letting him do it the right way. Otherwise it would have been just another pre-scripted, splice and dice, steaming pile of reality show.
