ok, then tell us how these onsite 3d printers will be cost effective

maybe you couldd tell us what the circle, square and diamond on the tape measure are used for

But really that's besides the point. If you can't see that bipedal humanoid robots are on the verge of existence and that those robots combined with the other machines we have and that will be developed will be able to do just about anything a human can do, if not everything a human can do, that your foresight is lacking imho.

It's okay pris if you can't see the future like most of us younger people. Your age has debilitated your ability to see the possibility and potential of the future. But it's okay, at least your not stuck in the 70'-80's like Zap is. You just seem to be stuck in the 80s-90s.

But it's all good I'll probably end up being stuck in the 10s-20s once I get older.

I'd like to think ill be able to keep my mind open to the possibilities though... But I'm sure you and Zap wanted the same thing. :tongue2:

So what are the diamonds circles and squares for?

They promised us flying cars by now.  Where are they?

By the way, Google never heard of Joseph's Manger.  Shouldn't you be getting ready for another fearful night of squirrell rustlings?

dude.... seriously, I'm the one that showed zappa the thing you guys couldnt
since you were all so stuck on 3d printers that build shit in a warehouse and
are trucked to the job sites, I showed him the robot on a job site laying
bricks, it is confined to flat surfaces as zappa said but it does have the
ability to compensate for some movement

I work with these very sorts of robots made by ABB and Nachi, I know their
limitations, I know their requirements, I also know the construction field
unlike yourself given that you arent able to answer my question about the
marks on a tape measure. I was reading blue prints and doing construction
at 10. mostly drywall and framing but I learned a lot from those old timers
including how to make tool to accomplish the task

maybe now you'd like to tell us about how your dad was a pioneer in a robotics company

You're probably right.  Hardly any carpenters know what one of them is since it is almost never used.

All that cartoon can build is a foundation.  I don't see any plumbing or wires or HVAC or floors or roofs or windows or siding or tile or bathroom fixtures or cabinetry.  That might actually be feasible but it isn't printing a house any more than Pris' brick laying robot.

It's funny watching Zappa desperately cling to the past in an effort raise his profession above all the others as somehow being too complex to be overtaken by automation.

This is what it must have been like to watch all those poor souls in Detroit clinging on to humans building cars...

The first airplanes sucked ass. Same with the very first TVs. They were fuzzy had no sound and no remote and no channels and were probably hundreds of pounds. And look at how much it's changed in less than 100 years. Now we carry almost every single video or picture taken, as well as almost every single thing a human has ever written ever in a little rectangle that fits in our back pocket.

So what if the ground isn't flat? So what if the models shown haven't figured out hvac and wiring?

If someone can think it up and draw it, with enough money and time, humans can create anything.

We went from a horse and buggy to driving a fucking car on the fucking moon in like 75 years...

It seriously is funny watching a couple old farts get all bent out of shape seeing the birth of technology that will revolutionize their industry.

These machines won't eliminate the human workforce, it'll just make the job way easier and efficient and quicker. And those workers will learn new things, retire, or continue doing their job on sites that can't afford the new equipment. Or work for companies have customers that would rather live in a hand build dwelling. Kind of like how we pay a little more for hand crafted goods over cheap machine made shit.

You do t need to be an expert in a particular field in order to see that technology is moving lightning fast and there isn't a single profession or person in the world that won't be completely effected by it.

People in 20 years will live and work very different than we do now, just as we live and work very different from 20 years ago.

I think I've used that spacing exactly once in 40 years.  On a Pitney Bowes office building in Lexington KY when I was about 25.

No they can't.  Construction is improvisation.  Robots do not do improvisation.

We have had prefabricated buildings and components for decades.  We aint printing a house.

Yes it will be different but there still won't be 3d printers building houses and there still won't be remodeling robots.

I heard Wendys is going to have burger kiosks.  In the nanny state they want fast food and everything they deem bad gone anyway because we are to stupid to know.
