The Pizza Tapes

Whos got this one?  I picked it up the other day and can't stop jammin it! Garcia, Grisman and Rice did a wonderful job with this one.  I really get a kick out of all the little "appetizers" in it. With over 70 min. of great tunes, i highly suggest this cd for every Garcia fan out there!  Jerry singing "Amazing Grace" brought tears to my eyes the first time i heard it!

THerE's a new on comin next month, fyi

A new collection of music from late Grateful Dead frontman Jerry Garcia and mandolin virtuoso David Grisman, Been All Around This World, will be released on March 23. The seventh release culled from collaborations between the two will include covers of Bob Dylan's "The Ballad of Frankie Lee and Judas Priest" and James Brown's "I'll Go Crazy." ...

I have the pizza tapes on disc. Awesome.

I used to have Shady Grove, even better album i think, but i can't find it anywhere anymore.

Yeah, the pizza tapes is definately some good stuff! I'm looking forward to checking out that new release too. They played so beautifully together.  :gd_icon: :biggrin: :gd_icon:

Yeah I have it too. Its a great album. I like Shady Grove better though just because it's more polished. But Pizza Tapes definitely has its perks too.

I never thought that it would be hard to find that album,
-But its always the first thing i look for in music stores with no luck,

Shady Grove is beautiful indeed.

I have this strange feeling like jerry was completely blasted/spun-out on china white in the Pizza Tapes??
