Does pork have to be cooked well done? * 1

I don't like  well done pork. It becomes dry and hard. It makes it shitty.

But if I don't cook it long enough I'll get ebola.

How do you cook your pork?
How should pork be cooked

Get one of those meat thermometers... problem solved. If I'm not mistaken pork has to be cooked to 155 F internally.

well done doesnt mean dry, that's overcooked. you can cook it to medium well and
it's safe. an internal temp of about 160F will leave it slightly under done. the
risk of parasites from pork these days is pretty low

sure you can undercook pork but then theres the whole disease thing. theres a  reason why restaurants have to cook their meat at certain temperatures.
but then again i always have my meat (mostly steak) well done I really dont get the appeal of under cooked/rare meat.

Yes at least as far as I know. Disease and etc. Pigs are filthy animals but taste the best. Can't cook it medium rare like I like everything else. Bloody and delicious. More blood the better. Chicken as well.

approximately 11 cases of trichonosis are reported to the CDC each year, the
majority come from wild game because in 1980 the Swine Health Protection Act
was passed and it did a great deal to stem the spread of the parasite

you have more to worry about when it comes to food poisoning and those risks com
into play with ground meats that are undercooked, raw meats and other at risk
foods. I recently discovered those raw vegans are at greater risk of parasites
than meat eaters... hahaha... yet another reason to eat meat

I usually cook my pork with some sort of cream. Like a cream of chicken usually. My pork is by no means dry.

Trying cooking your pork chops in a crockpot with equal parts cream of mushroom & cream of celery. How much you use will depend on how many pork chops you have. You want to make sure the pork chops are fully immersed. Very juicy and tasty porkchops... top it with cooked sliced mushrooms.

Ya exactly. I don't crock pot it as I don't own one.  I just put it in Pyrex pan and bake. But yes any of those creams make it fantastic.

If you follow this recipe, patpal, you will never have dry pork chops as long as you live. You can serve with rice, egg noodles, pasta... those are just a few suggestions. I'm sure you can think of something.

Few months ago I made a 3 pound pork loin in the oven by cooking it at 250 C for six hours then broiling the shit out of it for 5 minutes to crisp the fat.

It was by far one of the best meats I've had.

Get a meat thermometer, you will never fuck up meats if you stick to it.
