That's sweet fly. I got 10 seedlings of that species too. But they were sowed before the date. I think the strombos might be ready to go on my end.

Wow that was quick, ferrel.  It would take me some hours of mental preparation before I dare raise blade to seedling !!

I was gifted many many seed. I dont think anything will come of it though. They seem so fragile.

Sowed 50 loph seeds last night.

Might have been a bit excessive but I intend to hard grow half and graft the other half.

I have yet to have any loph sprouts. Those were the ones i was banking on for the competition. I should have sowed them in regular soil and not rock.

Got some seedlings popping up

These are Kimura's Spiny Giant x SS02

These are ss02 x huanco I believe

They are all labelled I just can't remember from the pictures

was a couple days ago. I think quotes should get time stamps.

My peres are starting to look ok, some of them. I think I need to add more perlite, they're just in straight potting soil.

Kimura's Spiny Giant x SS02

Supposed to be Pach x Pach monstrose in the center but none yet :frown: some other nice ones though

I think I put 5 seeds in each of these rows

Propogation station. 4 trays of seedlings right now

Unrelated to the contest
I keep changing up the windowsill

These are san pedro and nicotiana living together. Notice they are positioned so that the tobacco gets way more sun than the seedlings.

They're also in a humidity dome.

Well I certainly didn't have space for it but I sowed a couple of L. Williamsii var.Texana around 8PM pacific time. Did some Opuntia that Zed identified as humifusa as well though I don't know what to expect.  And we're off!

How do you guys have room for all of that?!? I've only been growing for a few months and I'm already constantly rearranging furniture to make more space for plants.

Cut 4 more peres tops to use (hopefully) as grafting stock. Even picked up a bottle of rooting hormone in attempt to speed things up.

My strombo graft was a bust. It completely shriveled up. So i just graftd a caput-medusae seedling. Not for the competition. Just to. I have yet to see a loph sprout and those are the ones im banking on.

Sometimes it can surprise you - when the seed is very viable and the conditions spot on.
Other times I have had nothing pop up - push the pot to one side and forget about it - water it again some months later and babies appear !!
