People act like anyone who touches the stuff turns into a thieving junkie. Having said all that since you don't really know this person I would definitley lock your valuables up.  User ot not he could be a thief.  Have you thought about putting a camera in your room? Perhaps a nanny cam type thing.  That way if anything does get stolen you have legal recourse against them.

And the camera is likely worthless. Who wants to take legal recourse after a junkie sold your shit. Take measure so your shit doesn't get stolen. Who the fuck cares if you can get this guy arrested after the fact?

Oh here's an idea take him to small claims if it does happen? Why the hell not have a camera, there not terribly expensive and easy to install.  Then you will know for sure who did it.
