how do i innoculate with polyfil filters?

how do i innoculate with polyfilfilters? i looked before i posted, didnt see anything. also, how much waters uppose to be in the WBS jar after preassure cookin?

Make a seperate hole put tape over it befor sterilizing and innoculate through that site and retape afet you innoculate

Or you could do as I do and shoot them up right through the polyfil hole. Never had any contam issues.

Use a small piece of tape that's folded as an edge as a "handle" to conveniently peel back, shoot and then stick back down.



I like to use a taped needle hole because attempting to shoot through polyfil is a bitch. I have tried, I only get bent needles and no success. Here's a knock up pic.

The grain should be moist, not dry or soggy. Try 200ml water to 250grams WBS, work up and down from there on water content. Grains vary, everyone will have a different ratio. Only you'll know after experimenting with the water content.

I do exactly what fee suggested....one suggestion don't use duct tape use masking tape....the one time I tried duct it shiveled all up and I had to repc the jars :/

i stick the needle right through the polyfil. works fine.

I tend to use fairly small, tight polyfill filters. Another noc hole is essential for me. taping up 1 hole sure beats taping up 4.
