Tin foil can't be used as a filter. The polyfil acts as a filter.

My friends ducks understanding is that foil is used over polyfill to keep out water while in the PC,and contams while in storage etc. That's what my friends duck has always done and had great success. Perhaps he's being overcautious, but one must, hadn't one?

Polyfill, foil, PC, inoculate (leave the foil off).
