Thought your murdered out goggles could hide your highness from that guy you picked up from the singles line? Think again. Researchers have confirmed the suspicions of ski hill tokers everywhere with a new report definitively proving that everyone, including your lift partners can tell that you are stoned. If you weren’t already freaking out about it, you better start.

The study shows that you’re not making any sense when you talk, and you’ll probably feel like this forever. Even though ski clothes are much more robust than your normal jeans and hoody the smell of marijuana smoke can linger for up to months, no matter how fast you ski. Smell or not, you have been telling the same story for the entire lift ride, and that guys is definitely laughing at you, not with you.

The study goes on to state that it’s not only the guy on the chairlift that can tell, but ski patrol, the lodge workers and even the skiers around you. Despite the legalization of marijuana in Colorado and Washington, most ski areas are on federal land. So if you hear a noise, it’s probably the cops. These new findings dispute previous research which established that “it’s all good.”


snow culture has always been like surf and skate, freedom and trying to fly. im excited to get up to the mountain this coming week for the first time this season.

having been skiing a ton this year, I got a good laugh out of this.


when im really baked, instead of trying to make small talk, i just get weird.
me and my friends have a bunch of chairlift games.

-look em right in the eye and go, "hey, I'm better than you."
-just compain that you don't feel good and act like you're about to puke the whole ride.
-stare at them and nervously look away when they look towards you
-drop random facts on them that have to be talking heads lyrics,. "hey dude, check this out.

there's water, at the bottom of the ocean!"

Haha most of the time when I am super stoned I am pretty sure everyone knows I am high.. I never really gave a shit but when I was tweaking. I don't like when it's super obvious your all wacked out on that shit.

It seems like a really bad idea to get stoned and go skiing, unless it was a super easy slope. Its pretty well a fact that it slows down your reaction time, when you're driving its pretty easy to just drive more slowly but then the classic "ball rolling into the street" scenario really rarely happens. But you could notice a little drop too late and totally eat snow. Guess its not the worst thing in the world though :shrug:

I second that. and those games sound awesome. But riding with a friend and sparking up on the ride up and enjoying the scenery will always be better

I have always wanted to base jump out of one the big enclosed ski lifts. Not the bench seat ski lifts (for people who dont know, the enclosed ones are one that are much higher up in the air) and film it

and the supplier, prob aly not
nobody got hurt or anything. He did cause "10,000 dollars in damages"
sounds a little over exaggerated. But who knows. It said he tried to open several doors and couldn't get them to open. I dont know if he broke the doors or what.

I've really been wanting to ski on psyches lately.


but me and another friend both triggered an avy in bounds at a resort, and I'm kinda spooked now.

I would never be able to live with it if my friend died cause I was tripping and couldn't dig him out.



I think I'm gonna wait til the spring when the snowpack is nice and stable and then eat some L and cactus at the resort :sunny:

The reason everyone on the hill can tell you're stoned is because you were all standing around the same circle having a 'safety' meeting.  They were all there with you.  They remember you stalling over the pipe.

Thats what I'm sayin yo. This is why I don't like when people use drugs that really fuck you up then do dangerous shit. Obviously when you're a stoner weed isn't gonna do that much to you overall, but droppin acid?

Shit be swirlin and movin, you get a bit confused, catch a ski wrong, go ass over tea kettle into a tree. Obviously that could happen sober too but you aren't helping your odds
