Same way a house catches on fire. Sky scrapers are not fire proof. Less likely to be completely engulfed, maybe, but not impossible, and they definitely have tons of combustible shit throughout them.

From what I just saw on the news it happened near the site of new years eve fireworks. I wonder if that's what started it.

Still very nuts. I also wonder if it will get hot enough to melt/burn the structural components and cause the whole thing to go down.

No bullshit, I used to routinely make bookings at this very hotel for clients during my last job. I worked for an oil logistics company and we had people stay there all the time --whether it was coworkers or clients. Shit's nuts, yo.

I saw this and they were saying it was 90% contained. I don't think that was accurate information at all.
