I would move your light more 'off to the side'

I've found that direct light just doesn't do the trick like ambient light coming in from all sides.

That sounds a lot like my old setup.

Now, I use a single 60 (maybe 75, I can't remember) recessed appartment light about 4 - 6 feet off-center of the tubs and it produces great.

I bet if you went down to a single 60 - 100 watt cfl you would still get great results.

EDIT: If you put something white or reflective on the far side opposite the light, I think that is best.

It's super important to NOT saturate the sub with direct light. I see hella difference in performance.  There is definitely a 'sweet spot' when it comes to the intensity of the light.

I just wish I had hard data on what that exact sweet spot is. :frown:

EDIT: Please don't take offense MrSturgill, I have much respect for your posts. I know light doesn't have as much of an affect as something like water content or pasteurization temperatures but there is definitely such a thing as too much and too little light. The OP has a clamp light shinning directly on his sub.  Light is a very forgiving factor especially for beginners who have enough sense to at least get the right frequency of light.

:whathesaid: I just mean that light is only a secondary pinning trigger, shrooms can be successfully grown in complete darkness, but it's best to simulate the natural environment as best we can. Main things to focus on are proper misting and fae. Those are the big hitters.

That digital hygrometer is not doing any good outside the chamber, but usually digitals are not that accurate anyway.

Set up looks good, congrats on the results.
