are u guys as phony as my dentist?

i just got back from the dentist, the ones i go to are such phonies. everytime i go there they recommend i use a very specific brand of mouthwash and deny theyre paid to say it. theyre like "make sure u use ACT mouthwash after brushing" and im like " lol why ACT in specific are u sponsored by them?" and theyre like "no its just the first brand that came to my mind" but they all say it everytime i go there its a conspiracy

i dont see any problem with them recommending it, i'm sure ACT is a good brand and all, but why would they deny getting paid to say it when i ask? i think thats hogwash and it means they have no souls

if any of u guys are dentists would u lie about that?

They probably just have stock in the ACT company. My dentist usually just asks me what kind of mouth wash I use. They don't really follow-up after I tell them so I must be using the good stuff.

Don't use mouth wash at all. I heard a story about a guy who used mouth wash for 20 years every day. He got mouth cancer and died from it.

If you're really curious, most clinicians (dentists included) are required by law to report the payments they receive from companies.

my dentist says half mouthwash half hydrogen peroxide...didn't specify a brand, but that's what google is for and research

Nah my dentist cool af. Charges everything as regular cleaning so the insurance covers it fully, or something like that
