So we're all allowed to go around saying users are bad people without justification right? (I asked this because this is what Enlil did)

...Uh I pretty much always rate people badly for one of two things. Clogging up threads with tons of nonesense or being a terrible person.

Whats your idea of qualification for a bad rating?

Personally I don't rate people negatively unless there is an objective reason to do so. E.g. If they throw random negative ratings around or act immaturely and call people 'faggot', 'retard' etc in their comments.

How'd you get back up to 4 shrooms? I swear you were at 2 when Malcolm asked about your ratings in the other thread..

And really, you're going to pretend like you don't care about your ratings? :ilold: You've made 2 threads on it now. People who don't care about their ratings never even talk about them. They don't even opt out, because they don't care. There have been some people who don't care, with 4+ white shrooms, don't whine about their ratings, question whether it's allowed or make retaliatory ratings to those who rated them negatively.

You are far from those people. No one needed you to clear up what a justified rating is. The only people who may even think to ask such a thing are people who got a negative rating and want some excuse to have the mods erase it for them.

Also, I dunno what the chances of it happening now are, but a negative rating from Enlil doesn't always stick. He gave me a negative one at some point and it was gone a week later. Never asked anyone to remove it or said anything at all about it. I don't even know why he deleted it because I've never asked.

I save my negatives for those who truly deserve them. I'm following Vinsue's lead. The less you give them out, the stronger they become. I want to single-handedly knock someone down 2 whole shrooms with my rating alone. He even goes back through occasionally and deletes ones for inactive users to supercharge them.

I go back and remove bad ones from perma people and puppets. They end up packing a wallop.

I did care previously but I overvalued the rating system so now it's apathy.
I've been on this site for a while and didn't know precisely what was allowed for ratings, I'm sure I wasn't the only one.

The ratings I've received reflect more so on the users who gave them.

I'm sure there are some people who care for the insight, I cross posted threads as a reference because it adds substance to the topic I was discussing.

Out of curiosity I would also like to know how it aggravates staff so that I can avoid doing so in the future.

Not really. People don't generally just go around giving a bunch of people random bad ratings. They're almost always earned. Even with "rating rape". People usually only participate when they agree the poster is a douchebag. No one's going to give people bad ratings just because someone instituted a rating rape on that person, when they actually have no problem with that person.

I don't know why you got that many bad ratings back to back, I'm just going to assume it was deserved because I really don't care enough to go find out what it stemmed from.

A user called emf began insulting me then gave me a negative rating. I reported it and it was initially removed which started this whole conundrum.

This is his third rating

Cross posting the same thing in multiple forums is a good way to get warned/banned. It falls under spamming.
