All the medallions open up to different apps, the ocarina is connected to my winamp, and navi is connected to my email. I don't really like cluttering up my desktop too much with a shitload of different stuff. Those two in the upper left are cuz of my recent obsession with comics and graphic novels.

I used the minimalist approach for years... I actually prefer cluttering up my desktop with all my most frequently used apps at least.. in a somewhat organized fashion.. normal apps on the left, games on the bottom, tweaks and tools and shit on the top in folders. I certainly don't do the old man approach with every icon for every app or download I've ever had on my desktop :lol:
