I haven't seen any posts about this and wanted to hear what ye old pubbers think.

"OUR MISSION

The 920 Coalition is a collaboration of non-profit organizations and individuals organizing events around the world on 9/20/2015 to bring attention to the role of psilocybin mushrooms in our society and health care system.

Members of the coalition bring a wide range of perspectives and expertise on psilocybin and a shared belief that this plant medicine plays an important role in culture and healing. The broad prohibitions on the use of psilocybin in many countries are deeply misguided and there is now overwhelming evidence that they should be changed. The Coalition is working to increase awareness of recent medical research as well as traditional healing uses that have been practiced for thousands of years in many regions of the world."

There are 10 planned events in the US, 1 in Mexico, and 1 in Canada, on 9-20. There are none in Washington or Oregon.
If anywhere was going to be able to pass a religious use defense, decriminalization of naturally occurring fungi, or medicinal mushroom program in the US I think it would be one of us PNW states. I would love to attend an event and support this coalition, but there's no event in this area.

What are your guys' thoughts on this?

Is anyone going to one of these events?

Anything being planned in Oregon?

There's a link on that site to a site called "Students for Sensible Drug Policy". They have a Drug War Clock. So far this year, the good ole US of A has spent over $10 Billion fighting drugs. Apparently 1.1 Million people have been arrested on drug charges. That's roughly $9000 bucks per person, and I doubt that covers ALL expenses. That's insane.
