I was wondering if anyone knows about this strain. I grew them on grain and cased them with verm. and gypsum. Humidity is 94%. temp. is 74 and fresh air is constant. The shrooms are only 1 inch tall and the cap is beginning to open. I was wondering if they are always this small?

nothing appears to be wrong. i have not grown this particular strain, but first flushes are often smaller fruits than those that arrive later. some of it has to do with the number of fruits being supported by your colonized substrate. in the gormet field, for fairs and such, growers often deliberatly reduce the number of pins in favor of larger fruits. this does not however make good sence in the case of shooting for highest yield to substrate ratios. patience.

Funny how they are called blue meanies.

That is actually a name for a different species of mushroom: Copelandia cyanescens. They are extremely potent.

However you are growing cubensis...there is not much difference in potency between strains. Mostly just caused by environmental factors.
