Kava toxicity: Does the answer lie in preparation?
    #2163120 -

My experiments with Kava have been intentionally limited because of the threat of severe liver damage. Now some research is showing that the liver damage may be mostly a result of the alcohol extraction techniques. Here's hoping - I've been very impressed with the previous results!

Kava toxicity article

Of course, it probably still merits caution - but I sincerely hope that this will lead to finding out how to use it relatively safely.

The very nature of experience is ineffable; it transcends cognitive thought and intellectualized analysis. To be without experience is to be without an emotional knowledge of what the experience translates into. The desire for the understanding of what life is made of is the motivation that drives us all. Without it, in fear of the experiences what life can hold is among the greatest contradictions; to live in fear of death while not being alive.

yeah, stay away from extractions and inferior kava kava. But if you stick with the traditional methods, you'll be just fine.
