That guy who says "I first smoked hasish in London" sounds like such a bumbling idiot. When Watts says something deeply intellectual or interesesting, he just responds with "....yea, hahaha."

Anyways, I find this kind of stuff so fun to listen to. Thanks for the link.

Nice find! It is definately Alan Watts most funny mp3. That one guy talking about hashis is hilarious. Even if you don't get much out of the words, you should get it for the hilarity and the beautiful music in the background.

Hmm, interesting. I have never thought of "a tone of voice" as being intellectual.

But yes, I also got the same impression that you did. I did detect the awe in the experience.

Been there, done that. I walk around in awe of this existence.

I totally agree with you. It's just a rare and interesting clip from a philosophical and psychedelic legend. And I totally understand what you mean when you say he has an intellectual tone of voice. I think that's because you're hearing the "place he's coming from" with his thought. That's the only way I can explain that. I like hearing his voice just because he's coming from a place of grace it seems(at least at this time in his life). As far as his friend, i'd like to hear some of you try to articulate your ideas while flying on some 60's LSD!

the book is an amazing meditation on the experiences of a psychedelicized mind...
well worth reading several times...
the pictures (b&w photos) resonate marvelously with the accompanying text...
the text (but alas, not the pics) are available online (the html version at www.psycedelic-library.org has been removed at the requaet of dr watts' literary estate, but is still viewable at www.acidmagic.com/books/joyous_cosmolgy.html ---check it out for sure...)
