Have you seen Die Antwoord live?

I'm going to catch them on the 19th with a friend of mine who is obsessed.
I'm pretty excited, am probably going to dose us both, and were getting a nearby hotel room.
I'm just wondering what I should be expecting and also if anyone's tripped at one of their shows. Seems like it could get pretty weird :lol:

I wanted to this past Fall, but life got in the way. I've seen some vids of their shows, looks pretty fun.

Honestly? I don't think they're worth checking out. I literally just wtf'd and turned it off. I was kind of offended at how annoying it was. :lol:

They're very good at utilizing shock value + just being genuinely weird, though, which is interesting to other people and has got to be a huge part of why their fan base cares, I guess? Because the music sure isn't enjoyable. At least in my opinion.

Ah OK so I looked her up. Yeah I've seen her before. That haircut sucks. I don't think she's very attractive even if she had better hair, but the hair is a real dealbreaker. You guys are weird.

For any of the people that do like Die Antwoord, you guys see Ushini Wam? It's a short movie starring them by Harmony Korine (director of 'Kids', 'Gummo', 'Mr. Lonely', etc.). It's about degenerates, drugs, guns, and taking what you want.

Haha, I like the message of Die Antwoord's music. Do drugs, get money, have some fuckin fun. There's really not much more to their songs than that. Afrikaans sounds interesting when mixed in with English rap. There's really no one else that sounds like them, at least not that I've heard. I'm sure there's plenty of music in South Africa, but I don't really pay attention to it.
