Microsoft hologram headset

Was just announced today at the Windows 10 confrence.
Looks pretty fuckin nifty.
Can you imagine having your own holographic Grateful Dead band playing 24/7 in your own home?
Or setting planets and stars all around your apartment?
Maybe program it to have random alien, robot or dinosaurs visit?
You could even have a virtual TV as big as you can imagine.

I find it interesting that they've announced this a few days after Google dropped Google Glass. Did Google drop it because they knew Microsoft was going to release this info soon, or did Microsoft decide to release it's plans as soon as Google dropped out of that market?

Soon we will play video games with our lives. We'll get points for showing up to work on time, and points for watching through commercials all the way. We'll level up when we get enough points, and kids on the playground will make fun of our kids if they aren't high enough levels at life and stuff.
