Coin collectors?
    #21137600 -

Im not a collector myself, but recently I've decided to go through all of my coins and plan on doing so with every coin i get from here on.

In my jar i found a 1929 and 1946 wheat back penny. :stoned:

Apparently, my 1929 wheat back is worth upwards of $60!

Any collectors here, or people that just constantly check new coins you receive?

Whats the oldest and or coolest coin you have?

Oh dude I might just post my collection.  I have about 50 uncirculated $2 bills, about another $500 face value of other rare bills.  I own 3lbs of silver in just coins alone.  I have a penny double stamped worth $550 and own every state and territory quarter.  I've been collecting since I was 4 years old.  I can spot a silver nickel a mile away.  Collecting rare coins and bills is a good hobby.  It just sucks when it's a rare $50 or $100 cause you can't spend it lol.  In the long run though you will profit.

Nice I think I have one from the 1890's.  I also have wartime Benjamin Franklin silver dollars which are my favorite.

I don't collect but I inherited a collection from my grandfather. He has pretty much all the denomition in bills from the point he was alive. Not every year of course, but every type.

I have:

- 1000$ Canadian bill
- Several 100$ bills
- Several 50s
- Many 20s
- Even more 5s and 10s
- A binder full of coins

Its cool. But since it's an heirloom I can't really spend it... It's just sitting there locked in my diamond vault (With hundreds of pieces of pure gold jewelries from kings and queens since the egyptian era of course)

I think you mean 1943 copper pennies those are the ones that are worth 1million + due to wartime needs but a few were miss printed.

Not really into numismatics but I like to buy bullion when the time is appropriate.

Actually i did mean the coppers. They go for between 60,000-85,000

The bronze ones are the ones that have sold for millions. And i think i have more of a chance winning the lottery than randomly getting one of those

I only have a plaque with 3 war-time steel pennies. They're not particularly rare or valuable but they're cool looking.

I just want to get out of the rut.

And it would be awesome to unknowingly be handed a penny from a store clerk, not knowing she/he just handed possibly thousands of dollars to me. :datass:

I'm not active with coin collecting any more but I used to do a lot of coin sorting. Mostly for the metal value, people will pay above face value for some nickel and copper coins. Silver too but you have to sort a lot of dimes to find any silver here.

I have some old gold rubles with the last Tsar, Nicholas II, on them.  They are pretty common, but still old and cool.
