Yeah, I grew up as a christan but became an athiest. This is one of the reasons why I became an athiest.

Fucking disgusting, how can people put a 2000 year old book over their fellow human? That's EXACTLY what Jesus would do.  :rolleyes:  I can't believe bullshit like this happens and its okay because being gay is a "sin" What is a sin anyway?  A labeling of certain behaviors and traits you don't like "wrong" so you have an excuse to discriminate and get away with it.  So how is what you do with your own body wrong? How is being gay wrong?  How is anything that doesn't hurt anyone wrong?

Religion is outdated bullshit. IMO The god of the bible represents just how hateful humans can be.  It represents all the hate in humanity for people that are different which Satan represents.  The bible was clearly written by ancient men and not some god, I mean why would the creator of the whole universe care about someone's sexual preference?  That seems unlikely.

Few people are genuinely interested in their own religion. Most have never read their own holy book. That probably applies to most preachers as well. Those who preach against homosexuality in the name of "the lord" ought to look over themselves with leviticus, the only book with a firm anti-homo stance. They learn everything they know from people who pass it via word of mouth for their own agenda. If they're legitimately religiously motivated in their hatred of homosexuality, than they should be almost as firmly against mixed fabrics, otherwise they're just bigots using religion as a tool to spread their bigotry.
