the problem i am having is that i am using a bulk substrate rather than jars. when i get to fruiting there are no pins forming. i dropped temperature, have the right humidity, have the right lighting, but nothing is coming up. it has been in fruiting for about 8 weeks and nothing. i tried raising temp and reshocking into fruiting and still nothing. i was just wondering if there were some that were more forgiving on the fruiting temps, etc...

no aim for me. i am at work. i know jars are better. i usually get good results from jars, just trying a different method this time. flame away, but it's just experimenting. i just came across you guys recently and just joined to ask this today. i thought maybe there was a better type for bulk substrate. it is brf/verm. substrate, cased and everything seems great. i have heard better yields from bulk substrate than from jars so i was trying it.

i used colonized rye grain to innoculate a bulk supply of sterilized brf in a sealed container. then when the brf was colonized, added a casing. then dropped from 84f down to about 72-74f. waiting. got the little bumps that usually turn into pins, but stalled there.
