I've heard of The Wheel of Time series and it sounds great but I never got around to it. Maybe I'll start.

It really does sound like something that I would find appealing.

Thanks, man, for the suggestion

I started the Wheel of Time after seeing you recommend it multiple times, its certainly a fantastic series.  This series just sucked me in I could read it all day if I let myself.

This thread made me feel a little better about myself.  I've built a decent collection of books.  A couple years ago I hadn't read about 30% of them.  But then I got a job where I took the train each day so I had the opportunity to read a bunch more.  I've got a few hundred on the shelves and I regularly check books out from the library.  Who counts how many books they've read?

I just finished book 6, Lord of Chaos.  I am taking a small break from the series to get some non-fiction reading in.  Its so easy to get wrapped up in the world that Robert Jordan has created.

My brother has that book by Solomon and many others...Also a bunch of his lectures...

He was my favorite professor, Dr. Iain Morrison's, advisor in grad school. It's the first of his that I've read and I'm really enjoying it so far, it's really practical but well-researched stuff. For christmas I got four of his books, that one and these three:

Can't wait to read them all.

He has all of those except "The Joy of Philosophy"...He has this too:

Not a lot, but probably more than 50 before I was 18.  I read a lot, but not many books.

Harry Potter is my #1 all time favorite series, however

Robin Hobb:
The Realm of the Elderlings
The Farseer Trilogy
The Tawny Man Trilogy
The Rain Wilds Chronicles
The Fitz and the Fool Trilogy
Other Elderlings Novels

It's insanity how all the stories are linked together.

One of the few books I finished reading and immediately started reading from beginning to end again. (Farseer trilogy I believe)
