New HCV Drugs Slam-Dunked The Virus In Me......

At week three of treatment, my virus load went from 900,000 at baseline to 15~!  which means for all practical purposes it is all but gone. :rockon:

9 more weeks of treatment and Im done, and there are almost zero side effects.  I wondered why I had so much energy the last week.  And besides that my hormones are on the march again.

And this means I am going to owe a certain group of Shroomerites a party, as I stated last year. :awesomenod:

I learned it from testing.  In 1989, the first year they had a test.  before that they didn't know what i had.  I've been waiting since 1999 for a drug combo to come along that would cure my genotype at a high success rate.  this is the first one.

it's a miracle drug, sovaldi.  The doctor explained that it shouldn't work, because it has a net negative charge of -2 from the phosphate in it, which would allow it to penetrate the chain.  Except the virus senses the -2 charge and locks it in, preventing it from entering the viral strand.  so they put another coated phosphate underneath the first one, and when the viral strand locks in the outer coat, the second one opens and penetrates the strand and kills it.

It also can synthesize defective substrates that the virus attacks, and then dies because they are incomplete for the virus to replicate. 

That's some smart mother fuckers designing that stuff.  they should get a nobel prize.  So far the first 8 here at week 4 have been under what they call the detectable threshold which is 25. 

i feel like I am freakin' 30 years old again.  And I think its time for a bitch.....  :awesomenod:

I think after receiving this miracle gift that I have to do something good for people because I owe someone.  It's not only that I got this treatment, I got $180,000 worth of treatment (am getting) for free. 

so I have to start rethinking how I treat and act to people and not be a dick.

LOL.  Unfortunately I can't drink anymore.  I still have cirrhosis, so I need to preserve what liver I do have left after the years of destruction from HCV+Alcohol.
