My Tap Water is Poisoning Me and Giving Me Dysentery

My tap water is not clear, it is white, when it comes out of the sink. I didn't notice it for the longest time, because I had been using a white coffee cup to wash my mouth out when I brush my teeth.

But recently, I woke up incredibly thirsty and hung over, and drank a glass of water from the tap without even looking because I had just woken up and my vision wasn't super focused. I then filled my glass a second time, and it wasn't until then that I realized how milky and cloudy my water looked. It doesn't look clear, it actually looks more like a cloudy white.

Basically, I wanted to report that I have been having horrible diarrhea for the past 2 days since then. I have had almost no appetite, really bad stomach upset, and almost all my poo has been straight liquid.

It actually looks like my food hasn't even been digested at all, like I see entire kale or spinach leaves or chewed up pieces of food in my liquid shit.

WTF does this mean, Shroomery?!!?!? Am I going to die?!?!?! Is the government trying to poison me to get rid of me once and for all?!?!

Is it milky when poured and after sitting awhile?
I asked because often water bubbles will make it look unclear at first.

No. It kind of does look like this image below, where it's milky white at first, but then eventually becomes clear over time. I was reading that it's due to air bubbles, which eventually makes the water turn from milky white to clear after it settles.

But I can't think of what else could possibly be making me sick. I've never encountered this type of white water before. The only thing I can think of is that I had some bad food at the airport.

I don't normally drink from the tap, I normally get bottle service delivered to my door. It's just that I was really really thirsty when I woke up that morning, and didn't feel like walking all the way downstairs to fill several bottles of water.

I used to have to deal with dysentery all the time. That and whether to ford the river, caulk the wagon and float, or wait for the ferry..

So there is another completely plausible explanation to your reaction, you have read what the white stuff actually is, and you still believe that your tap water is "poisoning" you? Get a filter. A brita literally makes zero difference in ppm by the way.

Brita is not cheaper than bottle service. I pay less than $30 a month to have several drums of water delivered to me. Brita doesn't purify water 100%, and it still costs $15 to buy a filter that lasts only a few weeks.

Brita is also a pain in the ass because mold starts developing in and around the filter and carton, and you end up having to sanitize the whole thing every few weeks.

If I were to get a water filter, I would install a real water filtration system in the sink, I would not use Brita.

I can actually tell the difference between purified water and tap water from a blind taste test. I grew up on filtered water.

Yeah no shit, it's FILTERED tap water. Dasani for example, tastes just like filtered tap water. Filtered tap water takes out a lot of the minerals and fluoride that are in tap water, hence the taste difference.

I was thinking of buying myself a reverse osmosis cooler. That would be pretty nice lol

You can also get a reverse osmosis system for the sink
