The Senate must act and there is not much of a chance on this, but Mary Landrieu needs to bring home the bacon to Louisiana so she can win re-election.  Who knows?  Maybe the Republican's new majority in the Senate will go to 9 seats!

He didn't have to. China owns 9% of the US's debt. China is deeply invested in the US. Then again the US is a gigantic part of China's economy.

Basically the US hold China by the balls. The US could tax chinese products which would fuck up Chinese business.

And that 9% debt thing. Well... Let's just say that repaying that debt is more of an "if I want to" thing
