200$ pair of headphones for 30$

So I just went on a walk and ended up doing some food shopping at the store. As I am walking back listening to music on some nice studio headphones a car parked adjacent to me honks and I see the people waving. So I assume either it is someone I know or the want directions or something. So I walk over and turn my music off. Anyways there were like 3 people in the car none of which I knew, 2 guys and a girl. They pulled out a pair of Bose headphones and offered them to me. Asking for like 35$-20$

So after thinking briefly I ask if I can try em out, which I then proceed to do. They seem in perfect condition and I had been wanting a smaller softer pair of headphones so I pull out 30$ and give it to them. They then try to sell me a brand new copies of windows 8.1 and some other random electronic related thing. Which I turn down and walk away. What I am wondering is if it was morally wrong to give them money as I have a pretty strong feeling the stuff was most likely stolen, and I wouldn't be surprised if they were needed the money to buy drugs, they seemed like a group of tweaker friends. what do you guys think?

Either way I am stoked with the cheap headphones but I feel bad at the same time. I was considering posting a Craigslist add to see if anyone was missing a pair but I doubt that would even work if they are stolen.

just go to mcdonalds and pay your taxes and then buying stolen beats headphones won't be the worst things you did today.

Fuck mcdonalds and I have nothing to pay taxes on as of yet :lol: I don't really care were they are made, a pretty crazy amount of stuff is made in china now a days, and it isn't all crap. Anyways I would bet money lots of "made in america" stuff is just assembled from parts they buy cheap overseas. Bose is a pretty nice company and even though the pair I got is probably the bottom of their line of stuff the ones I found online were priced at 200$ new. Which is stupid because I have a 200$ pair of headphones that is way nicer. I may try and re sell them for like twice as much but idk.
