I am not trying to prove anything to you.  I just posted some Australian information.  If you disagree with that I suggest you let the Australian Bureau of Meteorology know about it.

Look at the graph I posted.  What was that about no warming for 20 years?

No they're not dense. In fact most of the nay sayers in this thread are really smart people. They are just too conservative for their own good and its affecting their cognitive process because its a subject that conservatism inherantly oppose to its core. So much so than they believe that worying about the environment automaticaly labels you as a liberal which is their worst enemy. Too much conservatives is like not enough. Everything is political to them. Either they are for or against. No greyzones are allowed.

and perhaps the science just isn't in yet. people want officials to solve everything. they have been shown to not. and to show very little, most of the time, if not all of it.because they do the bare minimum, and then worse yet, accept it. veritable truth from inconclusive science, does not a prediction make.

If it can't make reliable predictions it should be scrapped because that is what you do if you're a real scientist.  Scrap useless crap

That's right

http://wattsupwiththat.com/2013/02/22/ipcc-railroad-engineer-pachauri-acknowledges-no-warming-for-17-years/

Quote:
Following my statement at the Doha climate conference last December that there had been no global warming for 16 years, Dr. Rajendra Pachauri, the railroad engineer who for some reason chairs the IPCC’s climate “science” panel, has been compelled to admit there has been no global warming for 17 years.

The Hadley Centre/CRU records show no warming for 18 years (v.3) or 19 years (v.4), and the RSS satellite dataset shows no warming for 23 years (h/t to Werner Brozek for determining these values).

Were you in church when this information came out?

*pulls thumb out for you*

this is the only time.

you need to have predictions of what this condition also arises from, and what the possible consequences are; in other words, is this something to be overtly concerned about AND can we stop it? but however, the data that people are using here are based of young, and insubstantial processes, and not hard science. a computer does all the work, and some numbercrunchers, but we aren't just dealing with numbers, in reality, we are dealing with actually provable predictions and conclusions.

Really?  So if we keep doing what we are doing, it is reasonable for me to form the opinion from the graph I posted, that the trend will continue.  Not a lot of number crunching required.  I'm just looking at the measurements.

You don't have a single clue, Zappa.

You post a blog note from "one engineer", then a page from a libertarian think-tank funded by a billionaire (Koch no less, talking about conspiracies), then this article... which I will quote:

Quote:
Ultimately, it’s apparent the relationship between ozone depletion, climate warming from greenhouse gases, natural variability, and how Antarctic ice responds is all very complicated. In sharp contrast, in the Arctic, there seems to be a relatively straight forward relationship between temperature and ice extent.

Related: Arctic sea ice has *not* recovered, in 7 visuals

Thus, in the Antarctic, we shouldn’t necessarily expect to witness the kind of steep decline in ice that has occurred in the Arctic.

“…the seeming paradox of Antarctic ice increasing while Arctic ice is decreasing is really no paradox at all,” explains Climate Central’s Lemonick. “The Arctic is an ocean surrounded by land, while the Antarctic is land surrounded by ocean. In the Arctic, moreover, you’ve got sea ice decreasing in the summer; at the opposite pole, you’ve got sea ice increasing in the winter. It’s not just an apples-and-oranges comparison: it’s more like comparing apple pie with orange juice.”

You can't even read your own sources.

You should read more zap.  The sea ice increase has been caused by the huge amounts of fresh water melting of the land glaciers.  But you are consistent in consistently posting anti-climate change propaganda.

"Freshwater is less dense than salt water, and so in regions where an excess of freshwater has accumulated, we expect a localised rise in sea level," says study co-author Craig Rye from Britain's National Oceanography Centre
...

According to the team's computer model, around 350 billion tonnes a year of freshwater influx, plus or minus 100 billion tonnes, would explain the rise."

Melting glacier: Dramatic changes in sea level rise around Antarctica can only be explained by an influx of freshwater from melting ice. (Mike Meredith)

from http://www.ibtimes.com/antarctic-ice-melt-rate-doubled-2010-esa-study-finds-1586829

The new study, published in the journal Geophysical Research Letters, showed that the Antarctic ice sheet is now losing 159 billion tons of ice each year -- twice as much as when the continent was last surveyed in 2010. The newly measured ice loss from Antarctica alone is enough to raise sea levels by 0.45 millimeters each year, according to researchers.

They have declared that 'preventing global warming from affecting the United States is their priority' (paraphrased)

But, uh, I guess Islamic Beheadings, like in Oklahoma, a globalist Islamic movement that basically wants to cut the heads off americans and others, or even fry large numbers of US citizens with a nuclear bomb if possible, is not as an important threat.

Fuck, I'm glad we are spending money supporting DHS, I feel much safer knowing that by 2050 they may keep the temperature in the US from not raising 1 degree C.  :smug:

I read plenty
http://wattsupwiththat.com/2014/10/02/its-official-no-global-warming-for-18-years-1-month/

Computer models are not science.  At the link there is a graph (fig. 2) comparing actual temperatures observed with 33 IPCC computer models.  The models are consistently wrong in the hotter direction by a lot.  Stop with the models.  They are crap
