Oh man, I totally used to have this book from the 60's about the multitudes of different drugs and their effects. All the information in it is total bullshit and feels like a giant propaganda book. Wish I still had it so I could find out what the title was (really generic title). But it was full of all kinds of pictures, and information on how marijuana and acid and the like make people schizophrenics. Really crazy book.

Hard to choose, Maria Sabina is very close to my heart so probably her autobiography or The Wondrous Mushroom which describes Wasson's first encounters with her... Book of the Mother is up there too, it's surprising coherent and well organized for having been written by a LSD sex cult and provides a blueprint for a new (old) cultural paradigm, definitely interesting stuff.

I have some more books of psychedelia that aren't necessarily rare but I'll post them on here anyway... Hoping someone will post some pics from the San Fran Oracle or some more Wasson or Ott

If your library has the Book of the Mother you should check it out and say you lost it and just pay whatever fine they say cause its extremely rare and valuable

Metaphysics, drugs, cultural studies etc... But not all of them were found at Half Price. There is another used bookstore in town called Lucky Dog formerly known as Paperbacks Plus, thats where I found The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross and Hallucinogenic Plants of North America.

Not exactly rare... Or a book.

But pretty cool none the less, found it in my hand me down couch while looking for the remote a few years back.

Before anyone says, "You haven't cleaned out your couch since '84?" let me be clear that I wasn't even alive at this time.
