Flying Thing?

Have any of you heard of any new/Experimental aircraft that are cylinder (sp?) shaped and have no wings? I just saw the wierdest thing, i was outside in my back yard, checking out the "Northern lights" in the sky caused by that huge solar flare. Next thing i know, i hear this sound like a gas powered generator, only much lower in tone, with bass that i could feel in my chest. The sound was unlike that of a plane or a helicopter. I look up, and there's this BRIGHT white light. It flew by and it was flying pretty low, so i could see it pretty well. It was cylindrical, it had strobing lights that were white, green, and red like a plane's but no wings. And there were at least 12 lights that i could see. I don't know, it freaked me out pretty bad.

Hmm, I dunno then. I belive that most of the time the government tests all the new crazy prototype shit in the desert around military bases so I guess that couldn't be it (I doubt they would test that kind of stuff near a large city hehe)
