Zoo Med Daylight Blue Light Bulb

Using the search bar I couldnt find a sutible answer. This light bulb is used for giving reptiles light.Its a full spectrum light bulb and I was wondering if this bulb is good if not better than the CFL 6800K. Im not talking about the cost for energy im talking about potency.

probably would work, but i don't think it's ideal.

you want the blue spectrum, like 6000-7000 kelvins.

Lights used for reptiles tend to give of to much heat stick to the cfl

My SGFC is on a shelf near a big tinted window. Would that be enough light? I was just going to just rotate the tub every day so the mushrooms dont favor one side.

Yea aslong as it's not direct sun light and they get a good 12 hours of light you shood be good try getting a white cfl and timer

I breed reptiles and I have a bunch of timers and bulbs. I was thinking of using old UVB/UVA bulbs that still producd light just they no longer produce UVA/UVB after 6 months so they get thrown out. They also produce no heat they are only 13Watts. Look them up they are a CFL called Reptisun 5.0 Compact or Reptisun 10.0 compact.

Edit: Nevermind I just read elsewhere on the forum that UV causes mutation further down the genetics. I dont want to take that chance that the bulbs are still producing some UV.

direct sunlight or a 6500k daylight bulb. the light should be intense. cubes grow in places where the sun is hot as fucking balls.

26w(replaced 100w) 6500k bulb a foot away from the sgfc is the recommendation
