Funniest Stand Up Comedians

Who's your favorite stand up comedian? I was watching the Dave Chapelle Killing them Softly act and laughed for an hour straight. His new stuff isn't nearly as good though. Who's your favorite stand up? I need some new material to watch.

Tim heidecker has some of the bes stand up i've seen, or andy kaufman is always good. Both entirely different than chapelle.

been thinking bout the local comedy club.pthere's a voice actor from adventure time who use to do stand up at the very club thinking of going to just a tit away.

Mitch Hedberg is a classic.

i don't really watch new comedians. except Doug Stanhope, and some random ones i come across that aren't important enough to remember the names of; so must of them suck.


Jim Carrey is still funnier in Stand-Up then in most of his films, because it's so serious yet not taken seriously. plus his impressions are awesome.

of course Bill Hicks and George Carlin were some serious funnymen.

all these men, were comedians. not joke tellers, not comics, but comedians. they could make the simplest thing funny.

but Mitch, see him for the best and most unique example here. he is a master of subtlety and almost satirical.

Neil Hamburger. He's bad on purpose, and he's good at it. He always carries like 5 drinks, and spills them, and coughs and hacks loudly right into the mic. He looks like he's going to just drop dead on stage.

That hari guy was good, I think hes his biggest fan though and that puts me off. Good comedy has no ego

It was 2 solid bits though


And akira mitch hedberg is one of the oddets to me, alot of his jokes were only funny because of his style and personality. If you look at them they are often silly and appear to be lacking solid set ups and punch lines but they hit every time.
hes also interesting because he as a very clean comedian and swore seldom.

Really one of the first I saw that showed me how comedy was a artform with no rules or guidelinesm
you must be funny and thats it. Period
Its incredibly pure like that.


And really check out dave attells albums that are on youtube. Hes the funniest living comic in my opinion

i will do just that. yeah, there are rules to comedy, and they can be bent and broken and it'll still work.

John Mulaney is hilarious, and a lot of other big comedians have talked about how they really love his work.

Hannibal Buress is funny, TJ Miller is great, Chelsea peretti, Rory scovel, Moshe kasher. I'm trying to skip the obvious ones, Dave has been mentioned 10 times already.

Bert kreisher is awesome too.
