Keeping BTC on vendor sites, or in personal wallet?

Hey, completely new to BTC and purchasing on these type of sites with them, and was going to have 1 BTC transferred directly to my Agora wallet. I plan on spending a majority of it immediately, and was considering leaving the rest on there for ease of spending if I find something I want to grab, probably won't take me very long.

Wanted to get a feel for if people send btc's directly to a wallet on a PC and only transfer the exact amount they need to the vendor site for purchase, if it's fairly instant to transfer coins to these sites, and if keeping on the site is possibly more secure than on a local PC.

If by vendor site you mean a drug site then I wouldn't keep it on a vendor site, no way. Personally, I'd feel better about keeping them on an exchange (poloniex, btc-e, bitstamp).

Yeah I actually opened a wallet on chainblock's website, will transfer to my own wallet then forward over to agora I think, as tempting as it is for a direct transfer to get the purchase in the works.

Transferring takes less than an hour, there's no reason to keep your BTC in an international drug smuggling site when you could have a private wallet.

Had a buddy put in 500 bucks for an order he planned to make the next day.  Next morning SR has that classy FBI banner :feelsbadman:

ahh damn, that is about as :feelsbadman: as it gets, way sorry to hear that for your friend man!

I spent .71 so far, got another .29somethin that I am gonna look at picking up maybe some e or weed, or a gram of some so called fishscale possibly. I really love having bitcoins now that Ive purchased my first :smile:
