the art institute schools

so im attending the art institute of seattle right now, taking the audio production program...

i posted a thread in OTD explaing why im discouraged and thinking of dropping out (basically cause i want to spend more time making music, not going to school)...i was just wondering if anyone in the pub has gone to an art institute? what did you think? im kinda scared that im not gonna end up finishing cause i hear lots of bad stuff about those schools.....

I am going to the Art Institute of Denver in the near future, seems like a nice enough place.

I have known individuals who attended the Art Institue of Chicago. They seemed to enjoy it. Some of them became quite pretentious, however. Try to avoid that man and you'll do just fine :thumbup:

My friend goes to the art institute of Milwakee, and she seems to manage fine and have no plans of not making it, youll be cool dude. I wish I could attent that school, how much does it cost you? If I am in oregon for a year do I still get instate tuition (saw some schools here do that).

I applied to the one in Chicago (not to be confues with the real prestigious Art institute of chicago). The School of Art institute -Chicago. Anyway, I changed my mind, don't want to go there. Too much money, and I don't think I would get as much out of it as I would going to a regular universities art program. But I guess the one I plan on going to (University of Texas at Austin) has a really good art program, and I wouldn't be spending a ridiculous amount of money. And if you really think about it, everyone already tells anyone considering art that they won't make any money, and reputations are at least somewhat true. good luck.

I went to the Art Insitute of Atlanya and it was one of the best experiences of my life.

Great teachers, atmosphere, and excellent facilities!
