We have cuddling services in the states already, but I don't think there's any snuggling cafes or anything.

Japanese society seems like a really lonely place for people who follow the customary path... super competitive corporations, really intense schools for youngsters, the idea that being Japanese is inherently superior to all other cultures and races... the kind of place where being accepted by society is the ultimate goal for a lot of people.
but besides all that, cuddle cafes seem like a good idea, if only they were reeeeaaally really cheap and would employ a multitude of male and female cuddlers.

Im with Wiccan (thats right I didnt forget). Its so sad its beautiful. The idea of paying for an orgasm makes sense. You have an inherently sexual animal in a complex world. Some ppl just want to sate that desire and move on. But selling emotional bond? To make emotional connection a commodity to be sold at an exorbitant price? Its really the last step before "dating" one of those real life doll things

What about learning to accept yourself? Acceptance from society is definitely important, but if you don't agree with the values of said society, then why should you spend all of your energy trying to get acceptance from it?

because if we're gonna have a society, it might as well be a healthy one. this doesn't mean however that you must participate in every aspect of being "accepted".

this is how people view the world. i don't really agree with it, personally... i think that people are mutual individuals. collectivism sucks.

Not all of society just one person of your desired gender. All societies have a concept of romantic love. However all societies have varying levels of acceptance of prostitution as well. This is neither of those things. Its merely taking advantage of a culture that breeds isolation and feelings of inadaquecy (sry spelling).

If you went to a doctor and said your arm was broken he wouldnt just give you oxy. He would try to fix your arm first. This is the emotional equivalent
