Speedway has $5 pizzas, they're really good for $5 IMO, little ceasar's has $5 pizzas, and quite a few other stores have $5 pizzas...

Is this like your first time seeing that or something? It's not too uncommon.

you get what you pay for. I've eaten more than enough shitty pizza in my life that if i'm gonna eat it now I'd rather eat GOOD pizza. there is also a big slice just down the road from my work half a block from the 7/11 for 2.50 you can get a gigantic slice of pretty decent pizza, i'd pick two of those over a greasy slab from the sev any day.

I personally love cheap pizza, it's not a gourmet meal, but that's not what I'm going for with it.

It's good for what it is, a quick, good tasting, cheap snack.

yeah the stuff in brine works too, they also have the stuff that feels really wet though its not in water, which works well. if you grate 4 oz of it just a bit ahead of rolling the dough a lot of that excess moisture will evaporate


What would happen if you flattened the mozzarella with a rolling pin so it was flat and round, and then just put it on top of the pizza? Can you do that? (sounds stupid I know :lol:)

i know me too. DIY shit always tastes the best. Its kinda funny when you fuck up some vital part of a recipe too and end up with an abortion of a finished product. its your baby and you want to love it, but its just not natural  :aweman:

I like to take a french bread loaf you can get from any store for about a dollar or two, cut it in half, put some pizza sauce and cheese on it and bake @ 425 degrees for like 20 minutes. Tastes awesome. Ends up being super cheap too. Can add whatever toppings you want to it.

7-11 pizza kinda sucks though. I mean it's ok if you are really hungry..
but I'd rather just go to trader joes, get some pizza dough and make my own. Sooo much better.
You absolutely need a pizza stone for best results though. But you could just get some unglazed ceramic tile from home depot for like 2 bucks. Or just spend 12 bucks and get a pizza stone. It simulates that brick oven pizza.
BUT seriously... get yourself a pizza stone and make pizza at home.
For the same price as that 7-11 pizza or cheaper you could make one ten times better. Thank me later
Dough, pizza sauce, and mozzarella and pepperoni is pretty cheap and can make multiple pizzas.
Or you could make your own dough, pizza sauce, and mozzarella from scratch but ain't nobody got time for that.

One tip - put it in as hot as the oven can go. (for a lot of modern ovens that's 500).
