DMT from Mimosa

Mimosa grows all over Georgia (where i live). You dig up a tree and use the roots, ive read you only use the outer bark of the roots but thats false. Ive read a shamans recipe for it and it said to use the inner root. Thats what i think is the most potent. Just take the roots put em in cold water and squeez the shit outa them until they start to foam. Then let is sit for 24 to 36 hours ingest and enjoy. :crazy2: :nut:

Yes me and a buddy tried it two days ago nice visuals very spirtual trip man. Its like you can contol your trip you are the supreme being when your on this shit. Just treat it with respect the gods didnt put it here to be abused. Use for enlightenment only not a recreational drug.

That's the only good advice you offer, I'm afraid. The definition of "root bark" isn't the woody, outer layer (anyone in their right mind wouldn't use this), but rather the the smoother, inner layer. Time for the debunking:

1.) Your "extraction" method is quite possibly the most ineffective I've ever read. Only a minor fraction of the alkaloids in the plant will be extracted by simply letting it sit in cold water after "squeezing the shit outa" it. You need to boil it; 3 times is standard practice. Reduce.
2.) Oral ingestion of N,N-DMT is inactive. You need to combine it with an MAOI if you are planning on consuming it that way. The most common MAOI used in ayahuasca is Banisteriopsis caapi.

If you're looking for a way to make freebase N,N-DMT from M. hostilis, here is an easy one.

Go to the http://www.ayahuasca.com forums if you want some functional recipes. If you think you've experienced ayahuasca by the methods you've described, I can assure you that you haven't even scratched the surface.

and like Dimitri sais it sounds quite unbelievable. are you sure it's DMT?

The only members of the Mimosa genus that I know to be active are M. hostilis (syn. tenuiflora), M. scabrella, and M. verrucosa. You can smoke the ground up/dried out root bark to produce some effects as M. hostilis is one of the most concentrated sources of N,N-DMT in the plant kingdom.

Weiliiiiii: N,N-DMT gets eliminated in your liver by the enzyme known as monoamine oxidase. A concoction made by the method described in your post would be orally inactive.

Put that on my life its DMT ive done my research. The method im talking about is the acient way of doing it the way the indians used to do it not some new wave way involving chemicals and boiling it 3 times do your research man and yes i used the inner root it was a yellow color and extremly bitter. I beleive in doing things the old school way, by only using the roots on the side of the plant that the sun rises on and keeping it as simple as possible as the real shamans used to do.

I have done N,N-DMT more times than I can count. Using more preparations than I can count. Your method is useless and your description of the experience further proves it.

Actually, the method you describe is not the ancient preparation...rather a more contemporary preparation used more as symbolism than to precipitate entheogenic effects. The ancient tradition of using N,N-DMT was in the ayahuasca brews of the Amazon. The most basic brew consisted of an MAOI (most commonly Banisteriopsis caapi) and a N-N,DMT bearing plant (most often Psychotria viridis)...there were many other admixtures used as well (tropane alkaloids were used by some tribes to "give the visions a sharper edge".)

Perhaps it is you that should be doing your research.

That statement right there has earned you my respect.

I honestly will try your method, you've made me curious as hell. I'm afraid that I won't be able to take the traditional harvesting steps as I don't currently have any Mimosa spp. growing and it doesn't grow natively where I live.

So all you do is put it in a cold bath, squeeze the hell out of it, let it sit for 24-36 hours, and then drink it?

I will try it.  I do suggest you try the ayahuasca though.  I've smoked the freebase before as well, and the B. caapi truly adds something special to the mix.  Ayahuasca is anything but "new-wave." :grin:

Hehe, yeah, I'm used to the taste by now.  I've learned to at least appreciate it, if not even enjoy it.
