Help ID pics*recent find from Chehalis
    #2009997 - 10/15/03 12:06 AM (13 years, 10 months ago)

I have been picking some nice libs the past few years on a family owned farm. growing in and among the liberty caps are some other very tempting looking shrooms that I think may be active. Can anyone please help with ID.

Cap- Dime to half dollar in diameter, some in a clasical saucer shape most with a distinct nipple. Some have the bell shape. The cap is semi sticky / slimey to the touch wet / slimy looking texture.Color is tan to a deep carmel tan/brown. The flesh is seperable from the classic psilocybe gelatin or film on the cap.

the gills/cap are attached to the stem when young

there is no ring the stem is a light brown to biegh

These fine specimines were found in a cow pasture in Adna, WA (Chehalis).Lots of cow dung. They were found in groups of 2-12 or more. They were found growing side by side with the libs. the libs found in this field show blueing, however these show no buing at all, though they have many other classic psilocybe characteristics.
The were not growing directly from the dung spore print is dark brown purpleish in color
