Did you see the word proof in my post?

You're trying too hard. I have things to do, so if the last word makes you happy.... go for it.

If bush waged this war to improve the economy with the as-yet-not-occuring large drop in oil prices, wouldn't it have improved by now? If bush was part of some massive conspiracy, it's failing miserably.

There is lots of speculation and conjecture, but no proof that will stand on it's own.

we could say the same about the case we made to go to war, i think.

I'm not too surprised by the liberal reaction (nor the lack of it) to this post. Clinton can do no wrong, bush can do no good. That is their ignorant way of looking at the world, and since it's not based in fact, no amount of fact can prove them wrong.

i dont do the clinton vs. bush thing, but its obviously no secret a lot of dems acted like they wanted to invade iraq, and that all this 'bush is a liar' 'bush is wrong about iraq' shit is political.

the only thing that bothers me.. is g dub and his crew did have to spin their intelligence and reasoning to get the american people to accept the war. it really doesnt seem as if there was any 'bulletproof' evidence of saddam's wmd programs before we invaded.

rumsfeld (if i remember correctly) went so far as to say 'we KNOW he has them, and we know about where they are.'

thats a very serious charge, and we have found nothing to back it up.

the basic reasoning for war is not the issue, the way they spun it to us is, though.

i'm all for deposing leaders who commit atrocities upon their people, and who may have wmds, but to perform a pre emptive strike..

we must not have DAMN good intel, we must have ROCK FUCKING SOLID intel. this isnt a fucking game, this is taking the lives of possibly tens of thousands of people in our hands. we cant fuck around with shit like that. we're supposed to be a bastion of freedom and integrity. we cant go into poor nations bombing the shit out of things based on "they wmds at one time, the inspectors cant find them, but they never said where they were."

i think it would have been worth it to find a way to put pressure on saddam and the region, rally more international support, then if THAT failed, invade. we obviously cant trust saddam's integrity.

wow i went out on tangent on that one..

Tell me where I said anything about Clinton doing no wrong. You won't find many Clinton supporters on this site,

Mommy, why does this guy keep posting when he has no idea what he's talking about? I haven't seen anyone stand up for Clinton, so why does he act like we are.

No, it's cuz Clinton's been out of office for 3 years. We've got Bush to deal with now.
