Unfolding Nature Shop: Unfolding Nature: Being in the Implicate Order

Godzilla
    #20003680 -

Just saw this movie, I thought it was pretty good.

It has several layers to it, and visually it is quite impressive.

I don't know if this is a secret or not, but it surprised me. *potential spoiler* Godzilla is a good guy. I never knew!

More spoilers!

Layer 1: The conspiracy to cover up the existence of the parasites. This layer is then taken over by the Monster layer when the parasites are exposed.

Layer 2: The main character (I forgot his movie name) questing to get back to his family and bring them to safety

Layer 3: The nuke -  they need to either disarm it or move it away from the city or many people will die.

I'm not readin the spoilers, was gonna see this tonight but I might just go tomorrow though but it looks awesome. I heard there's only like 20 minutes of actual footage of Godzilla though, wasn't sure how I felt about it but since there's gonna be sequels I won't care at all if the build up and story is good. Also Godzilla isn't really bad or good, he's just a force of nature really.

He's good in the sense that he saved humanity.

Aye, he isn't in very much footage honestly, but i'd definitely recommend seeing it.
This was my first godzilla movie :yesnod:

Yeah I guess he is sort of an anti hero. Were the fight scenes good? No details on it though, just kinda hopin that it's gonna be good enough to make up for not showing much of him.

They were pretty good. Kind of what you'd expect from 2 big monsters fighting :shrug2: I still enjoyed them

I'd like to see a more monster-driven 'universe' in a film but Hollywood would shit a brick if movies were genuinely entertaining.

Amazing Spiderman 2 flopped IMO, I'd love to hear Electro arguments (seriously I would).

Winter Soldier? Absolutely not. I think a public apology needs to be put in the next few months of movie trailers. Then it can run alongside the new Xmen's apology to everyone.

As for Godzilla, don't waste your time or money, go get a 40 a nick bag and a pussy to please.

If this kind of movie tickles your fancy, I'd recommend Pacific Rim.

That movie was pretty good. I wouldn't watch it again though.

The heterosexual man-love in Pacific Rim ruined it for me. It works in Shakespearean plays and even contemporary film/media, men have bro's and that's how it goes.. However, Pacific Rim was just rotten. Not enough development of characters to bond or even backstory which was all time wasted for better battle scenes. I'd still watch it again, but they really did the mind-merging thing wrong, or at very least with the wrong type of character development behind it. To be honest, it would've been a better film if they were just homosexual man love with more fight scenes. They could've skipped an unnecessary amount of wasted film. The 'inner turmoil' of the main character was tepid at best.

What the hell are you babbling about Pacific Rim is how the new godzilla film should have been that movie was fantastic.

Tldr is I wanted more from it. I don't know if Hollywood or the writers are to blame. That acting though...

I had low expectations and was pleasantly surprised I got what I wanted which was mecha suits and sea monsters.

One another note. I would be the absolute worse movie critic ever.... I like every movie even if I think the movie sucks....

Just saw it, it was pretty sick. Glad I heard before hand that it didn't have a ton of Godzilla, even though it did have a little more than the way some people were making it sound. I have a good feeling the next one is gonna be more satisfying to people who just wanted pure Godzilla action.

And Idk how anyone could think Pacific Rim was better, despite it having more action. Writing and acting wasn't very good and just seemed a bit too cliche with the fight scenes. Plus Godzilla would own any of those bitch Kaijus :cool3:
