everybody, has had to cut overhead at one time or another (even big corporations before they were 'big') had to make sacrifices in order to make that work.

so instead of cutting back and making sacrifices, its no big deal,the governments got our back? oh yeah, by the way with that pay increase comes a tax increase. just incase that was overlooked

I don't think anyone is asking to get rich off mopping floors, if they are they're shit out of luck. The point is a livable wage, minimum wage has kept up with that imo up until the past few years.

Everyone is shit out of luck if they have to negotiate for themselves, musicians used to be paid $200 to record an album and receive no royalties regardless of sales. Sold 1 million records? $200.
No-name musicians I know personally are better off than Duke Ellington or Schubert in their prime, and that comes from society setting standards.

with no wage increase people won't be able to support themselves

food stamps and min wage are inversly proportional

people want less tax? then pay a living wage so people don't have to live off of subsidized TM...
