Have you ever met someone famous that you idolize?
    #19939325 -

I once met Michael Franti back in 2010 at a festival, he was shaking everyone's hand and I refused to let go of his hand. I said," Michael I love you! No I REALLY LOVE YOU!" I was 15 at the time and right in the front row so he saw me crying the entire set, and he leaned down and kissed me on the cheek!!! One of the best moments ever, my life was complete lol. I went back to the festival the next year and the guitarist remembered me and we talked a little which was cool too and I asked him if Michael remembers me and he said "of course, you can't forget a face like that!"

So in exactly 5 weeks ill be back at the festival and he is playing there again I can't wait!!! I also was standing next to his son when he went on the big stage to headline later that day and he was so cool, Michael gave him a shout out and sang a song for him and I could just feel the connection it was awesome. We all danced, smoked, laughed.

Wbu pubbbbbbers? I'm so excited for festival season I want to hear some stories!!!

I've briefly taken lessons from one of my favorite musicians, it was a great moment in my life.

The people who taught me to make music are very well known artists in their/our genre and most of them are artists that I grew up listening to.

I have so much to thank them for. Love dem guys. Without them I would've never gotten into this wonderful world of music making

you were 15 in 2010? From your name/colorful sig I thought you were an old deadhead - you're just a baby.

Never even heard of Michael Franti though, guess he's not that famous, eh?

Can't say I idolize anyone particularly famous.

It's probably not wise to meet people you idolize. You will almost certainly be disappointed.

Hahahaha yeah a baby I guess u can say. I wish I was an old deadhead I sure act like one, I'm too young to consider myself one of "Jerry's children" but I do say I'm one of Jerry's grandchildren! Lol a new generation of deadheads I think of it as, ones who never got to go on tour or see Jerry play in person so had to look to older deadheads for stories and pretend its themselves in the story, not the teller. and listen to old tapes and discover the magic on their own and find it within themselves.

And Michael Franti used to sing all about anti war and politics now he sings a lot of pop happy songs you probably have heard sound of sunshine or say hey I love you. Not as good as he was back in the day but I still love him

Got to jam with Trey Anastasio for a minute in the late 90's.

I was just rhythm while he was soloing and it was incredible.

No idea what that is, this was a classical musician and the lessons were private lessons out of one of his student's houses.

I dont really idolize any famous person I met, I've done work for ted turner
and later for jane fonda, she's a crude, vulgar woman but she's pretty nice
otherwise. she had no intentions of hooking me up with her daughter.

met a fuckload of pro sports people, mostly football, wrestling and racing,
hung out with several of them, one was my little brother's football coach.

a friend worked at tree sound, I went to their first NYE party, I met a
lot of well known musicians, most were pretty down to earth people.

there's a lot of movie stars in the atlanta area as well, I currently live
near brett butler, the comedienne and a few others. met many in atlanta when
working, unfortunately it didnt result in me becoming a big star

I've met a couple of Finnish NHL players back when I was a kid and played hockey. Teemu Selänne, Saku Koivu and a few older players(Jari Kurri&Esa Tikkanen). They were visiting a tournament we were playing in and we got to play with them a bit.

Good times (:
