My clock on my microwave runs slower than the clock on my stove...
    #19863856 -

Could it be due to the fact that when the microwave is in use it slows down the clock on the microwave due to the extra power it has to use to actually emit micro waves.

So (hypothetically) if for every second the microwave was in use (heating something) it used +1/20 energy units/second compared to a normal digital clock.  So every 20 seconds that the microwave was used would = to 1 real second compared to a non energy using digital clock.  Therefore after a couple months of use (lets say ~30 microwave seconds a day --> 45 total seconds lost per month), the microwave clock would be a minute or two behind all of the other digital clocks due to the extra power it had to provide to emit the micro waves.. (like the stove or tv clock).

Aka why my microwave clock now says 4:08 when my stove clock says 4:10, but a little over a month ago I set them to the same time...

Whereas if I would have never actually utilized my microwave for its micro emitting wave properties both clocks would report the same 'time' number?

Only one explanation, your microwave is the Fountain of youth :mindblown::awedance:

Yes but if you remove the spinny thing the whole thing will rip you into a dimension of demons and eternal torture.

Actually ur theory is invalid for the energy used to display a digital clock on a microwave is more than the actual cooking process
Just a little fun fact

You cant run a microwave with 2 AA batteries but clocks/timers can

No.

But if you want to be certain: set up an experiment. Measure the time passed on the microwave clock as accurately as possible during a 10-hour period in which you nearly permanently use the microwave at full power. Then measure the time passed during exactly the same period (as measured by an external clock, obviously) while not using the microwave at all. I predict there will be no difference and that either your microwave clock or your stove clock (and quite likely both) is just a fucking crappy clock.

There's only one way to settle this!!!

Build a space ship and build a sun dial on the inside the fly around the earth 365 times at the speed of light and have your buddy monitor the clock on your microwave then take the gravity times the geographical location divided by the seconds the sun takes to set multiply the earths rotation around the sun by the number of seasons then take 7, 4, 12, 365, 24...670616629 and average those numbers together with the sums of the original take the time it is now and reference it compared to the time it was before reading this then take the day of the year and find the numbers that correlate to that day in the alphabet then take the date and put those all together., just fucking mash them fuckers up and add .3 to that number and that will prove that your clock is crap.

Nope, thought about this a few times over the past year each time I have to reset the clock on the micro because it is 2 minutes behind.  Drank enough last night to have it really come to fruition.

Sounds tough

I'll do this instead.  Much simpler.

if they are both digital then I think you may be mistaken and you should check again. :sun:
If one or both are analog then sorry man you're SOL!

Nobody cares that it is two minutes off.

People care about WHY it is two minutes off.

The oscillating circuit that keeps time for the clock is being corrupted by the oscillating circuit that generates the microwaves.

Digital clocks are incredibly precise.  Thats why I hope you're wrong! cause then ur stuff will be not broken :sun:

it's possible they have always been two minutes apart- or that their numbers are staggered in a way that they vary between 1 and 2 mins!

the clock calibration was slightly off when built at the factory.
