Shroomery NFL Draft

I think I half assedly brought this up last year and there was a apathy about it... but worth a shot.

We hold a first round (maybe 2) mock draft where we pick for our favorite team.

Now some people might be fans of 2 teams, it is ok, the point is just that you are knowledgable about 1 team and maybe casually peruse their team forum.

details like time length for pick can be discussed while (and if) we get "GM's" sorted. And if there are multiple people who are fans of the same team then form a committee or some shit, i don't care, I just want to see a mock draft.

My team is the Saints, but since I live in Nashville I can rep the Titans if there is no one to rep them...

Sounds interesting. I don’t think we will get enough people though. We should just draw for picks divide the teams equally between people.


I like Denver but ill take any team.

There are a lot of saints fans that want a WR for their first pick, and unless Sammy Watkins was sitting there I would pass.

And what mocks are you finding "by the people"? Every one i have read is by analysts

i dont follow college like i follow the NFL, but I follow it. I may not catch every game that the university of the sisters of perpetual forgiveness play, but I peruse on any given saturday.

You don't have the watch the horse fall out of another horses vagina to make a half assed guess on a race.

there is no accounting for eagerness or drive or off field issues or even injuries. It is all risk hedging crap shoot and my guess is just as valid as anyone who isn't scouting pro days and combines.

I feel ya on this though

KP is right Watkins is going to go quick. Raiders will sweep him up so fast assuming he even makes it that far. Dude has crazy good hands and big play ability.

This is a cool idea. I'm thinking about doing a few different contests this coming season, but with better prizes than a supporter account this time. I'm real excited for the 2015 pick em league. I missed out last year.

so call out the team you want to rep. we got a lot of time to kill.. if you know enough about more than one team, put down multiple teams. this can be fun.

I was also thinking that Trades shouldn't be allowed. I know there will be some, but unless we are doing a full 7 round mock then what is the point? "Ill trade you rounds 2-7 for your #1".

Like I said, I will take Titans because I havent seen another titans fan on here.

I don't know nor care anything about the draft. So I am not a suitable player. All though I think seattle should take a big wr for the first pick.
