Was neanderthal a red eyed, fur covered gorilla like carnivore that fed on humans?

Neanderthal is often portrayed as essentially the same as a human but with a fat nose ridge.

However, there is a theory that skeletal evidence indicates neanderthal was not human like but looked more like a bipedal gorilla or chimpanzee with gleaming red eyes that fed entirely on meat, had enormous physical strength, and hunted and raped humans for hundreds of years.

Neanderthals have been found to use simple bone tools in addition to complex stone tools, they're omnivorous and intelligent, there has been no evidence of violence between humans and neanderthals that I know of.

There is evidence of interbreeding between the two species, to assume rape would be sensationalism.

Oh yeah I've heard about this insane "theory". Neanderthals were, as far as we know, pretty similar to humans, close enough to breed, just different subspecies.

How does one get "gleaming red eyes" from skeletal evidence?

His makes a fundamental mistake right from the get-go. He argues that since they were primates, the would look like apes. He fails to point out that humans are also primates.
