My dad and his deadhead friends seem to have the same general opinion. "its ok, but not as good as..."

I listened to this song last time I was shrooming, and came to this thought. His rap is the stereotypical young tour rat story. No wonder why all the older heads dont like it. Brad had been to his share of shows though, FYI. I hear the song is about a friend though. Thats what my friend who got me into them says. I have 40oz and their self titled album, I love both of them, havent found a band that has a really similiar sound. Looking for a copy of stand by your van lately  :stoned:

Yeah they busted it out in the middle of Good Lovin. Jerry sang it and it blew me away. I think it was at Cal Expo. :gd_icon:

I believe it was in 87. Mabye Cal Expo mabye not. Hell I don't remember were it was at. I just remember being astounded. It was pretty sweet. I am pretty sure it was around 87 though becuase I had only been on tour for a couple years. :gd_icon:

At least I remembered the year. It's hard to remember venue's. They all look the same after years on tour. I didn't realize they played it 4 times. I just remember them playing it during Good Lovin.

All the years combined they melt into a dream. :gd_icon:

Very groovy Ripple. You're missing That would be something by McCartney I think on Dick's Picks 17 from a show sometime in '91? I'll have to go run and grab my copy, but it is a really beatiful song, Jerry's voice is amazing.

Yeah, it's Volume 17, 9/25/91. Very god show with a crazy second set.

I saw that! I want them all.

I'll probably download/upload some for you guys. Maybe you'll want them on Vol. 5. I say you should put none or very few Dylan covers on it since The Dead already have a Dylan covers cd out. Just my .02, though.  :stoned:
